OWN THE STREET
AVANTGARDE VISION IS COMING FROM UNDERGROUND
INTERVIEW
Who the fuck are you?
My name is Gioele Bianchi I am the owner and co-founder of Avantgarde Vision
I am 23 years old and I come from Trieste a city in the north of Italy
I have been doing graffiti and digital art for 12 years, I am mainly passionate about calligraphy and letterforms but I appreciate almost every form of art and creativity.
What's your story?
To answer this question, you have to go back to 2012, when I started with some friends of mine to do my first graffiti and tags in the park near my home. I still remember the excitement, I didn`t think about anything else and I didn`t want to do it!
From there my passion for street art started, I spent afternoons and nights drawing constantly and this passion helped me live in a city that I never felt was mine
Over the years I also developed a passion for streetwear that I couldn't cultivate because all my money went into colours, I joined and founded various crews, I changed many friendships and this allowed me to gain experience but I felt the need to create something bigger, something I wanted and hoped to do without being able to understand how
And it was when I met Ishtar Sakran my current partner that things changed, in 2022 we decided to open Kilo Street Box a vintage streetwear shop that offered the possibility of buying kilo boxes of clothes at discounted prices, we liked the project and it was in line with our values on quality, sustainability and price
but we soon realised we could not get past the very strong artistic side within us.
Deciding to put our creativity into clothing, we wanted to do something innovative and fresh, so we first took advantage of Ishtar's sewing skills to create collections using the reworked technique, which consists of taking used garments and reassembling them to create new designs or even new garments.
our will.
This is where the Avantgarde Vision collections were born, created to fill the gap in the market for a brand reflecting street art and designed to reflect what we believe in and what drives us to do more every day, creativity, commitment to a better future and of course graffiti and street style.
Who does the brand consist of today and what does it do?
To date Avantgarde Vision is mine alone, despite the fundamental contribution of my partner in the initial realisation of the project we have understood how two creative minds can feel limited and clash in decisions, today Ishtar follows his personal project and we continue to support and advise each other every day.
I now follow the production of the collections, which are always designed to have high quality and durability, values that are fundamental to me combined with innovative printing techniques
From time to time we still release exclusive reworked garments that are unique and very limited.
We have no external employees and what you see is made by us.
Plans for the future? And why Avantgarde Vision?
Kick ass of course!
Jokes aside we want to release new clothes and we also aim to make accessories such as backpacks and bags designed specifically for drawing and projects for our ever-expanding crew, we are working on a server where we can meet and talk, exchange opinions on drawings or clothing and why not win something in contests and giveaways.
We also aim in the future to organise events/contests in northern Italy so that we can meet in person, although our main goal is definitely to continue to produce high quality garments and minimise air pollution!
Our vision has always been innovative, from garments made from other garments to the printing techniques used so far, we have never liked simple things.
